New Broadband Hybrid Solid State / Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier Delivers 10 Watts CW and 0.8 - 18 GHz with Low Harmonic Content

Souderton, PA-October 3, 2002- Amplifier Research has introduced a new self-contained, air-cooled broadband hybrid solid state and traveling wave tube (TWT) microwave amplifier. Designed for applications where low harmonic content is required in sub-band ranges and where high gain and moderate output power are required, the Model 10ST1G18 provides a conservative 10 watts minimum at the amplifier output connector. It has an instantaneous frequency range from 0.8 to 18 GHz in 4 sub-bands.

Standard features include a built-in IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface, 0dBm input, gain control, RF output sample port, VSWR protection for the TWT, plus monitoring of the TWT helix current, heater voltage, baseplate temperature and cabinet temperature.

The price for the 10ST1G18 is $65,000.

A 20 watt version, the 20ST1G18, without filters is also available for those users not requiring low harmonics and who desire more power. The price is $63,000.
