New Miniature CFKII 5-Phase Microstepping System



Torrance, CA - Oriental Motor USA Corp. has added a miniature 5-phase hybrid motor to the Nanostep® CFK II Series. The new motors are only 0.79 in. sq. (20 mm sq.) and weigh only 0.11 lb. (0.05 kg). These new microstepping systems produce 3.2 oz-in. of holding torque. The Nanostep® CFKII Series of motor and driver packages combine the smooth operation of a 5-phase hybrid stepping motor with a high resolution microstepping driver.

These motor and driver packages create a microstepping motor system with extremely low velocity vibration. Position accuracy of up to ±0.17° is available with the miniature CFKII motors. The CFKII Series is also available in four additional high torque motor frame sizes (1.1 in. sq., 1.65 in. sq., 2.36 in. sq., and 3.35 in. sq.).

The compact CFKII Series open frame modular driver provides 16 user selectable resolution settings up to 125,000 steps per revolution. The open loop driver has a special mid-frequency resolution suppression circuit and utilizes 24 VDC and currents of 1 amp per phase to drive and control the CFKII miniature motors.
