The Microgage Universal Kit consists of a laser transmitter and a digital receiver that is connected to a handheld display. Readings appear on a large LCD display and alignment units are presented in 0.001 or 0.0001 inch increments or in millimeters. The kit includes an interface cable so that the operator can upload readings to a laptop or PC for analysis. A rotating base is included for setting and checking flat planes such as machine beds, roller assemblies, sliding mechanical stages, and other planer equipment. A precise 90-degree beam bender is also included for squaring machinery, checking the vertical axis of machine tools, monitoring parallelism of rails, tracks, and rollers, and much more. The kit includes a heavy-duty tripod for supporting the laser and several mounting fixtures for greater versatility on the plant floor. The entire kit fits into a compact, sturdy, carrying case for easy storage and transport.
