Samtec has recently introduced a new micro pitch interconnect ideal for multiple connector, Board-to-Board applications facing potential misalignment issues. The FT5/FS5 Series features a floating contact system that provides .5mm float in the X and Y directions absorbing most location errors during mounting the connectors on the PCB.
The FT5/FS5 Series are on .5mm (.0197") pitch in a dual row design with 15 or 30 contacts per row. This highly reliable surface mount system is available in a 5mm or 7mm mated stack height. These connectors feature a through-hole weld tab as standard for further stability in rugged or harsh environments as standard.
