Micro-Ohmmeter measures resistance from 0.1 µohm to 1 ohm.

Press Release Summary:

Microprocessor-controlled MJ-LNER(TM) 200 allows for automated micro-ohm testing of products such as bus bars and circuit breakers in substations and industrial environments. Portable system tests circuit breakers with both sides grounded and uses switch-mode technology to generate true dc current with stabilized output, independent of variations in main voltage. Also included, built-in printer enables on-site report generation.

GE Energy Announces Availability of its New Micro-Ohmmeter

ATLANTA, GA.-May 2, 2006-GE Energy announced the availability of the MJ-LNER* 200, the latest addition to its series of micro-ohmmeters. The product is now available for purchase worldwide and GE has already received orders for the product in Europe and Australia.

The MJ-LNER 200 is a portable test system for accurate measuring of low resistance values in the range 0.1 micro-ohm to one ohm.

GE Energy's new micro-ohmmeter allows for automated micro-ohm testing of products such as bus bars and circuit breakers in substations and industrial environments and it has an easy-to-use interface. It is microprocessor-controlled and by using switch-mode technology, the MJ-LNER 200 generates true DC current with a stabilized output, independent of variations in the main voltage. A key safety feature is that the MJ-LNER 200 tests circuit breakers with both sides grounded.

High-powered (1 kilowatt) and lightweight (8.8 kilograms), the MJ-LNER 200 also has a sturdy and light casing that makes it rugged and portable. The built-in printer allows users to create reports on site.

The new micro-ohmmeter was developed to meet customer demand worldwide. It allows users to safely and easily measure micro-ohms in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.
