Micro Controller offers distributed processing.

Press Release Summary:

FEC-FC34, with 10Base-T connectivity and TCP/IP protocol, provides local and remote process communication. It operates on 24 Vdc and has 12 inputs (user configurable as PNP or NPN) and 8 outputs. Two inputs can be used as high speed counters. 16-bit 20 MHz processor allows for multi-tasking of up to 64 programs. When connected to network, process/control information is available for enterprise resource planning (ERP), SCADA, and other applications.

New Micro Controller With Ethernet Connectivity Offers Simple, Low Cost Distributed Processing, and Local & Remote Process Communication

Now distributed processing is not only simple, but also inexpensive with the FEC-FC34 from Festo Corporation. This compact micro controller, with its Ethernet 10Base-T connectivity and TCP/IP protocol, offers the system designer the option to link multiple FEC-FC34 units for the purpose of handling distributed processing tasks.

When connected to a network, process/control information, directly from the FEC-FC34, is available for enterprise resource planning (ERP), SCADA, and other applications. If the network is accessible from the internet, remote process communication is available from anywhere in the world. For security, user program protection is standard with the FEC-FC34.

The powerful, 16-bit 20 MHz processor allows for multi-tasking of up to 64 programs. The FEC FC34 operates on 24VDC, and has 12 inputs (user configurable as PNP or NPN) and 8 outputs. Two of the inputs can be used as high speed counters.

WIN FST software allows for easy controller programming, utilizing IF, THEN, OTHERWISE type statements in Festo Statement List;. WIN FST also offers simple project management and a library of I/O modules and drivers.
