Rosetta Technologies Releases Personal MICR Printer for Small Businesses

- SP 3300 MICR Series Offers Unmatched MICR Print Quality at a Competitive Price -

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 28 /- Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of desktop, workgroup and light-production MICR printers and software solutions, announced the availability of its SP 3300 MICR Series laser printers. The SP 3300 MICR printers are the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) engineered versions of Ricoh's SP 3300D and SP 3300DN printers, and are designed for on-demand printing of official checks, image replacement documents (IRDs), and other items printed with MICR toner.

With print speeds up to 30 pages per minute, a first-print speed of 8.5 seconds, and network or USB connectivity versions, the SP 3300 MICR Series offers the same MICR print quality and many of the same features as Rosetta Technologies other desktop and workgroup printers, but geared toward businesses with small MICR print volumes. Standard duplex printing capability makes them flexible enough for small business printing and also supports low-volume IRD printing for financial institutions.

"Now that MICR printing has grown beyond traditional banking applications, we have seen the demand for an affordable MICR printer increase sharply in recent years," said Rob Hullar, President, Rosetta Technologies. "Until now, small businesses had to settle for using a standard laser printer with a poor-quality third-party toner, or bear the expense of a dedicated MICR printer. The SP 3300 MICR can utilize both MICR and standard toner. Combine this feature with standard duplexing, and the SP 3300 MICR makes a great option for general office printing in addition to check printing."
