Michem® Flex R1924 Print Primer Improves Ink Adhesion and Chemical Resistance in UV Cured Packaging and Label Applications

CINCINNATI, OH – Michelman's Michem Flex R1924 is an innovative water based primer that promotes print receptivity and adhesion of UV cured inks and coatings to flexible packaging substrates and labels.

Because it is also very chemical resistant, it is an ideal solution for film converters or printers who produce labels and packaging for use in harsh environments.  Typical applications include labels for shampoo bottles, liquid detergents and cleaning chemicals.

Michem Flex R1924 is suitable for virtually any non-food contact, printable flexible packaging substrate or label requiring UV curing, and is easily applied using gravure, flexo and other coating methods.  The primer is effective at a low coat weight – just 0.5 gsm dry, and dries clear.
