View Benchmark 300 - Performance Leading Benchtop Metrology System

Simi Valley, CA, September 2004 - Benchmark(TM) 300 brings the high performance advantages from View Engineering to a benchtop system with a 300 x 150 x 150 mm (12" x 6" x 6") of measuring range. Advanced optics, illumination, available through-the-lens laser, and image processing capabilities make it an industry leader and world-class metrology system. Benchmark 300 is an excellent choice for product design/development and near-line process monitoring applications in manufacturing environments of precision molded and machined parts for the semiconductor/electronics and data storage industries.

Compact enough to be portable, this non-contact system is specially designed for dimensional measurement applications requiring high levels of performance and reliability. It is flexible enough to be used in the QA lab for first article inspection or on the production floor providing precise measurements for process control applications. Its state-of-the-art dual-magnification optical system uses two cameras for near instantaneous magnification changes. The patented Programmable Ring Light (PRL) uses monochromatic red, green, blue, or white light for high-resolution imaging.

The Benchmark 300 features measurement accuracy of U2 (XY plane) = (2.5 + 5L/1000) µm and resolution to 0.1 µm. Benchmark 300 is available with View Metrology Software (VMS) or Basic-X(TM) for general purpose metrology, or Elements(TM) software for PCB and SMT applications.

To see the Benchmark 300 in action, be sure to visit the View Engineering booth # D4614 at IMTS 2004. Benchmark 300 joins the Benchmark 450, Pinnacle and Summit systems as solutions from View to near-line process control and quality assurance applications in numerous industries. Founded in 1976, View Engineering pioneered the development of sophisticated vision-based non-contact metrology systems. View Engineering is a Quality Vision International company.
