Mitutoyo's New CheckMate 6000 CAD/CMM Dimensional Metrology Integration Software Make Off-Line Programming Easier
(Aurora, IL) Mitutoyo America introduces its new CheckMate 6000 CAD/CMM programming interface for off-line programming of Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). CheckMate 6000 is fully integrated with GEOMeasure(TM), Mitutoyo's easy to use CMM
software system. It is designed to support over 20 DMIS characterizations plus five other CMM builder native languages.
With Mitutoyo CheckMate 6000, a Mitutoyo CMM user can create measuring programs off-line allowing the CMM to continue to run part inspections. It is no longer necessary to tie up a measuring machine with self teach part programming.
CheckMate 6000 will accept CAD files through IGES, STEP and VDA neutral file transfer standards. Native Unigraphics, Catia and Pro/E file formats are optionally available. The user can work from 3-D CAD models, wireframe or surfaces to generate CMM part programs, even before the part is manufactured.
CheckMate 6000 offers other features such as program simulation, collision detection/avoidance and probe path optimization. It is user friendly with customizable pull-down menus, toolbars and industrial standard icons that save time. It is especially well suited for the inexperienced programmer.
