A line of diaphragm metering pumps for use with blowing agents such as freon, pentane, butane, and halogenated hydrocarbons that provides the high accuracy needed to improve material thickness, density, and strength is being introduced by AMERICAN LEWA, INC. of Holliston, Massachusetts.
LEWAtriplex(TM) Monoblock Blowing Agent Metering Pumps inject foaming agents at pressures up to 7,250 psi, over a wide flow range up to 1,300 GPH by adjusting the motor speed of the three pumping heads. Featuring leak-free, sealless diaphragm technology, with positive displacement and low pump head volume, these pumps provide ±1% accuracy for controlling the thickness, density, and strength of the foamed material being produced.
Available with diaphragms constructed of 316 SS, Hastelloy, titanium, monel, or PTFE, LEWAtriplex(TM) Monoblock Blowing Agent Metering Pumps provide better control over foaming agents than plunger pumps. Providing smooth output, all three pump heads are driven by a triple-throw crank shaft fully immersed in oil. Inherently cool-running, the diaphragms are never exposed
to atmosphere.
