New PZi Series Intelligent Metering Pumps Feature Micro-Processor Control And Flow Verification
Precise delivery is unaffected by voltage fluctuations
Lansdale, PA, April 2002 - Neptune Chemical Pump Co., Inc. has introduced the PZi Series intelligent pump, an extension of the manual PZ Series, adding micro-processor controls enabling a single model to accept both pulse and analog signals. Like the PZ, the PZi Model eliminates the need to change pump models to match the available voltage. The unit delivers constant output when powered by any single phase voltage from 94 VAC to 264 VAC; accuracy is not affected by normal voltage fluctuations.
PZi Models are ideal for accurate, reliable injection of a wide range of liquid materials, including chemicals, nutrients and disinfectants, and are available in 11, 22 or 38 GPD capacities with pressure to 140 psi.
The PZi4 Models accept a pulse signal and allow frequency division from 1/1 to 1/9999 or multiplication from 1 to 9999 in response to each pulse input. The same pump can accept an analog signal and allow shift and proportional band adjustment. An external interlock allows connection to remote devices such as a level switch. PZi8 Models include all functions found in PZi4 models, plus an interval function that allows a repeat program from 1 to 9999 minutes and a counter function that allows repeated operation of up to 9999 strokes (x10, x100 or x1000) in response to each start signal. The PZi8 includes an alarm output for external interlock connection or loss of flow, synchronous pulse output, and operational progress signals displaying the status when used in interval or counter operating modes.
An optional flow checker mounts directly to the discharge of any PZ (manual), PZi4 or PZi8 pump and provides a pulse output for each ml of liquid passing thought the on-board oval gear meter. The digital display on PZi8 pumps displays instantaneous flow measurements from the flow checker. The flow checker's output signal may be used to drive other instruments or programs used in feed verification. Another optional device, the flow counter (meter), allows simultaneous display of both instantaneous and totalized flow in English and metric units and provides additional outputs.
