Meter measures moisture in wood and construction materials.

Press Release Summary:

Model CA847 passes electric current through 2 electrodes to measure impedance variation due to moisture in material. For wood, measurement is expressed as % of H2O between 6 and 100%. For other construction materials, such as plaster and roughcast, meter determines Wood Moisture Equivalency. Unit features two 20-LED display scales, replaceable electrodes, and auto ON/OFF. Shockproof, dirt-resistant holster is included.

Original Press Release:

AEMC® Introduces Moisture Meter

The AEMC® Moisture Meter Model CA847 is designed to measure the level of moisture in wood and construction materials such as plaster and roughcast, etc. The measurement principle is as follows: an electric current is passed through the two electrodes in order to measure the impedance variation due to the moisture in the material.

The meter gives a direct reading of the level of moisture in wood, expressed as a % of H2O between six and 100%. For other construction materials, the meter determines the Wood Moisture Equivalency (WME).

Features also include two 20-LED display scales, replaceable electrodes, auto ON/OFF and is lightweight and compact. The meter includes a rugged, shockproof, protective dirt resistant holster.
