SCS Introduces Metal-In Static Shielding Bags with High Puncture Resistance
SCS has introduced new Metal-In Static Shielding Bags with High Puncture Resistance. The SCS 1300 Series transparent metal-in static shielding bag is designed to provide a static safe environment for ESD sensitive electronic devices. A stronger polyester layer helps prevent punctures. Bags are printed with an ESD protective symbol and a lot code for traceability. The bags are heat sealable. ZipTop and other custom features are available.
The SCS 1300 Series bags have a greater than 22-pound average puncture strength which provides physical protection for contents. The average puncture resistance for standard Metal-In Bags is approximately 12 pounds.
The SCS 1300 Series meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 and ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 3 requirements for ESD packaging inside and outside an ESD Protected Area (EPA) tested per ANSI/ESD STM11.11, and ANSI/ESD STM11.31.
