Metal Detectors suit pharmaceutical processes.

Press Release Summary:

MET 30+ pharmaceutical metal detector is made of stainless steel and features electronics that can detect microscopic foreign bodies in production lines at speeds up to 30,000 tablets/min. MET 30+ vertical fall metal detector is positioned earlier in production process to inspect incoming raw materials in granular or bulk powder form. It removes unwanted metal contaminants and achieves sensitivity levels of 0.5 mm for stainless steel and 0.3 mm for ferrous metals.

Lock's Latest Innovations at Interphex

Lock Inspection Systems Inc., Booth #1673, Interphex 2003, Mar 31 - April 2, Jacob J. Javits Convention Center, New York

Renowned inspection equipment manufacturer Lock is displaying some of its most advanced equipment for the pharmaceutical industry at this year's Interphex exhibition. Following a highly successful launch at last year's show, Lock's touchscreen interface is now up and running in a number of pharmaceutical plants. The feature can be easily incorporated into Lock's MET 30+ pharmaceutical unit and vertical fall metal detector, both of which will be on show at Interphex.

The touchscreen interface for the MET 30+ acts as a user-friendly panel for viewing metal detector data on-screen rather than from a PC. This added feature uses Lock's ADC software and enhances the performance of the detector, making it easier to identify and resolve problem areas and simplify data analysis.

The most sensitive in Lock's MET 30+ range of metal detectors, the pharmaceutical unit, constructed throughout in stainless steel, provides accurate detection of contaminants in pharmaceutical products. Advanced electronics mean that microscopic foreign bodies in production lines can be detected and rejected, at speeds of up to 30,000 tablets per minute.

The MET 30+ vertical fall metal detector is positioned earlier in the production process to inspect incoming raw materials or formulations in granular or bulk powder form. This removes all unwanted metal contaminants and achieves sensitivity levels of 0.5mm for stainless steel and 0.3mm for ferrous metals.

Renowned for its customized inspection systems and excellent after sales-support, Lock Inspection Systems supplies metal detection and checkweighing equipment to manufacturers in the food and pharmaceutical industries worldwide. Lock has manufacturing facilities in the UK and the US in addition to direct sales and service operations in the Netherlands and France.
