Metal Detector suits dry processing applications.

Press Release Summary:

Available as free-standing or suspended unit, Gravity Flow Metal Detector can detect ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in high-volume, free flowing powders and granular products. It offers 4, 6, and 8 in. infeed and discharge pipes with high-speed reject-valve diversion of contaminated products. Utilizing quick-release clamps, reject diverter can be dismantled without tools and swung open to allow thorough cleaning of throughput pipe and reject mechanism.

New Gravity Flow Metal Detector from METTLER TOLEDO Safeline

Tampa, Florida, March 1, 2007 - Mettler-Toledo Safeline, Inc., the worldwide leader in metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment, introduces its new, cost-effective gravity flow metal detector. Designed for dry processing applications, the new GF metal detector can detect ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in high volume, free flowing powders and granular products. Customers can directly influence the contaminant detection sensitivity and ease of product changeover by choosing the best metal detector model for their requirements - from the one-frequency Certus model for basic, reliable detection to the state-of-the-art, three-frequency PowerPhasePRO.

Available as a free-standing unit with a reduced footprint or as a suspended unit, it offers 4", 6" and 8" infeed and discharge pipes and high-speed reject-valve diversion of contaminated products. Utilizing quick-release clamps, the reject diverter can be dismantled without tools and swung open to allow thorough cleaning of both the throughput pipe and the reject mechanism during normal washdown or at product changeovers to prevent cross-contamination.

Safeline's patented "Zero Metal Free Zone" (ZMFZ) technology allows both a reduction in the length of the infeed pipe and the reject mechanism to be positioned close to the metal detector without metallic interference or false rejects.

Like all Safeline products, the new Gravity Flow Metal Detector is backed by the most comprehensive service network in the industry as well as 24/7 technical telephone support.
