BaldoroDodge Metal Detectable End Covers for Food Processing Facilities
Fort Smith, Ark. – Baldor Electric Company introduces a new addition to the bearing family –Baldor•Dodge® Metal Detectable End Covers – designed to provide a safe solution for food processing facilities. Baldor•Dodge patent-pending Metal Detectable End Covers are constructed of a durable, high-density, polyethylene (HDPE) material containing stainless steel, allowing the end covers to be detected by X-ray and metal detectors used in food and beverage applications. The material is blue for high visibility and quick inspections.
Baldor•Dodge Metal Detectable End Covers incorporate an additional lip on the mounting surface for a more rigid fit within the housing, providing a positive seal in wet environments and reducing chances that the cover will disengage during operation or washdown. A drain hole is also included to prevent moisture from collecting inside the cover.
Metal Detectable End Covers are available for all Baldor•Dodge E-Z Kleen and Ultra Kleen mounted ball bearings with shaft sizes 3/4 inch to 1-15/16 inches.
