Promotional Solutions Leader Receives Excellence Award for Hair Care Gift Package
NEENAH, Wis. — Menasha Packaging won an Excellence Award in the 70th annual North American Paperboard Packaging Competition. The achievement was announced during the Paperboard and Packaging Council's Fall Meeting and Leadership Conference held last month in Dallas, Texas.
Menasha's winning design is a regimen kit created for Unilever's Nexxus Youth Renewal product line.
"Our client challenged us to design a solution that would encourage the shopper to try all products within the line or enhance the appeal of giving hair care products as a gift," said Jim Snyder, General Manager of Menasha Folding Carton Group. "Our solution is an upscale, multi-piece package that's both eye-catching and functional."
The promotional solutions leader's winning package features a book-style outer carton with a window and an intricately designed insert, which displays uniquely product contents while holding them securely in place. The Nexxus Youth Renewal package design also includes specialty coating and foil stamping to enhance its overall brand graphics.
The North American Paperboard Packaging Competition is the premier competition for carton manufacturers. To be eligible, packages must be designed to distribute, market and protect a product and consist of 50 percent paperboard that is visible to the end user.
