Aaeon Unveils the Newest Media PC: the MPC-8890 for POS/KIOSK
Hazlet, NJ, Sept. 2004 - AAEON Electronics, Inc., one of the leading IPC companies, has created a newly-designed Media PC module, the MPC-8890.
First of all, the MPC-8890 supports low voltage processors, which are not included in the standard off-the-shelf package. These processors allow users to operate their systems in the toughest environments and with minimal worries about system stability.

The MPC-8890 was designed with low power consumption in mind, capable of using Intel® Pentium® M and Celeron® M processors up to 2.0 GHz. With support for 4/5/8 wire resistive touch panels via an onboard touch screen controller, dual view function, 5.1 channel audio output, 4 digital I/O (In/Out), 4 COM and USB 2.0 ports, the MPC-8890 is specifically suitable for high-end POS and KIOSK applications. In addition, with an integral mini-PCI slot, the MPC-8890 is also suitable for wireless applications via preexisting mini-PCI wireless LAN modules.
