Medeco Security Locks, a division of ASSA ABLOY N.A., located in Salem, Va., introduces the new MedecoB Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC). MedecoB is an affordable alternative for end users currently using industry standard unpatented SFIC keyways. MedecoB integrates with the most popular SFIC keyways, allowing for seamless incorporation into those existing key systems.

MedecoB is available in the following 27 industry standard keyways: 1C, 1D, AB, BB, CB, DB, EB, FB, GB, HB, JB, KB, LB, MB, QB, RB, TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, WA, WB, WC, WG, WH & WY.

MedecoB is a smart addition to the Medeco Smart SFIC Continuum. “This new option allows the user to choose from Medecoᴮ cylinders which are compatible with popular keyways such as A thru R, T, W, 1C and 1D. Medeco X4 offers patented protection against unauthorized key duplication and Medeco XT provides an electronic way to master key, which also brings with it the ability to audit and schedule key holders in an easy to deploy SFIC format,” said Tony Green, Director of Business Development, SFIC Solutions.

MedecoB offers flexibility and is available in standard 6 and 7 pin format and the reinforced sleeve design provides added strength and durability. The cores are plain-faced and available in 14 architectural finishes.

Tony goes on to say that, “Medeco cylinders are manufactured in a state-of-the art U.S. manufacturing facility, to the exact specifications to be compatible with your existing system. “Being able to expand that expertise into MedecoB provides the end user various options in SFIC without compromising on quality.”
