Model BMS-90 in-line system provides length checks on all cut and deburred products. Transport and control system are integrated into DutchSaws cutting line to achieve complete tube cutting system. New In-Line Measuring System from DutchSaws
Burlington, ON- Cutting Systems Inc., the North American agent for the DutchSaws line of tube cutting and end finishing products is now pleased to offer a new measuring device that links directly to the sawing and/or deburring machine. The BMS-90 allows for fast and accurate length checks on all cut and deburred products, the transport system and control system are integrated into the DutchSaws cutting line to achieve a complete tube cutting system.
When the BMS-90 is linked to the deburring unit, DB90, a walking beam system picks up the tube coming off the deburring machine and in sequence the tube passes through three positions. The tube will first pass through the chip and swarf removal system, once cleaned the tube will be measured to an accuracy of +/- (0.05+0.01/m)mm then ejected into the appropriate bin according to the specs entered into the system. The BMS 90 is PLC controlled using a Siemen's MP-270. All measured values can be shown in two histograms, as well as statistical values such as the mean, minimum and maximum value, standard deviation, Cp and Cpk values.
