PARLEC INTRODUCES AND DEMOS NEW PRESETTER SYSTEMS AT IMTS
Fairport, N.Y. - May 31, 2002 - Focusing on its new presetter systems, Parlec Inc. will have machine demonstrations along with information on its other high performance tooling and workholding product lines at its booth (E-2804) at the 2002 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), September 4-11 at Chicago's McCormick Place.
As North America's largest manufacturer of tool presetters, Parlec's newest line of Parsetter TMM Tool Measuring and Inspection Systems include the LiteVision Plus, ParleVision IV and the X-Vision systems. The LiteVision Plus and the ParleVision IV both come with PGC IV Tool Data Management and Presetter Control software. The ParleVision IV also comes with complete 3-axis automation. The X-Vision system provides ease of use combined with the accuracy and capability of the current vision technology.
Shirnkset TMM, a combination presetter and heat shrink unit will debut at IMTS. This will link Parlec's presetting technology with a shrinkfit system, allowing users of shrinkfit tooling to preset and shrinkfit in one step.

The Lite Vision Plus and ParleVision IV systems also come with TMM Touch Screen Control and the X-Vision system's 30X 'Smart' video camera can be programmed to recognize hundreds of tool forms and perform many measuring and inspection functions.

toolholding line at IMTS. The line includes the HP Chuck, Shrinkfit Holders, Power Milling Chucks, ER Collet Chucks and Balanced and Balanceable Holders. Each product is available in V-flange, BT, HSK and NMTB shanks and Parlec's balanceable system can be applied to each of them. In addition, a simulfit system that gives steep taper holders a simultaneous fit will be demonstrated.
According to Nuccitelli, the toolholding line offers high speed
machining solutions with great attention to concentricity, balance, precision and speed.
Show attendees will also be able to learn more about Parlec's newly expanded workholding division. These new multi-function fixtures require only minutes to switch from one production run to another, thereby saving time and increasing productivity. Also, the improved slide assembly clamps with rear jaw ensures ergonomics and safety.
