Measurement Software includes transducer database.

Press Release Summary:

Catman® v5.0 scans PC interfaces and automatically recognizes connected devices. Measurement runs can be defined, completed, and automated without any programming. Software allows measured values to be visualized in real-time, or log files can be viewed when tests are complete. It includes event monitoring of measurement channels, Test Explorer for fast survey of measured data, and intelligent data compression that accelerates graphic representation of data.

HBM Releases Latest Version of Catman

Marlborough, MA - July 8, 2004 - HBM has released the latest version of its measurement software, catman® 5.0. Included in this software package is a transducer database which allows users to simply select the transducer type from a list of transducers and catman® automatically configures the amplifier reducing the time needed set up measurements.

HBM's standard transducers are automatically included in the database. Other transducer types can easily be added especially those with T-ID or TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet). T-ID transducers have a unique transducer ID number that allows the software to configure the amplifier with the transducer's associated set-up parameters. TEDS-compliant transducers provide a complete set of parameters to the database.

catman® 5.0 scans PC interfaces and automatically recognizes connected devices. Measurement runs can be defined, completed and automated without any programming. The software allows measured values to be visualized in real time or the log files can be viewed when tests are complete. The system includes the option of analyzing data and creating user-specific applications.

The software includes other new features such as event monitoring of the measurement channels allowing, for example, limit values or digital inputs to be viewed. Additional test parameters, such as operator, department and test object can be included further improving software flexibility. There is also a TestExplorer that provides a fast survey of measured data, and an intelligent data compression feature that accelerates the graphic representation of data.
