MDrive17Plus with Plus Generation Patented Technology


Now with 2nd generation patented technology, the MDrive17Plus Motion Control from IMS provides advanced current control delivering unsurpassed performance and smoothness in a fully integrated microstepping driver/motion controller/NEMA17 high-torque brushless motor design. By applying innovative techniques to control current flow through the motor, resonance is significantly dampened over the MDrive's entire speed range and audible noise is reduced.

The MDrive17Plus accepts a broad input voltage range from +12 to +48 VDC, delivering enhanced performance and speed. Oversized input capacitors are used to minimize power line surges, reducing problems that can occur with long runs and multiple drive systems. An extended operating temperature range of -40° to +85° C provides long life, trouble free service in demanding environments. Robust general purpose I/O, operating to +24 volts, has been expanded from 4 to 8.

The MDrive17Plus Motion Control also includes a 10 bit analog input, 0 to 5MHz step clock rate, 20 microstep resolutions up to 51,200 steps per revolution, and full featured easy-to-program instruction set. Expanded features provide the capability of electronic gearing by following a rotary or linear axis at an electronically controlled ratio, or an output clock can be generated fixed to the internal step clock. Numerous options and accessories are available including: long life linear actuator, encoders, integrated planetary gearbox, control knob and linear slide.
