mdnationwide Selects GFI to Boost Business Efficiency Across the Network

London, UK, 7th March 2006 - mdnationwide, a remortgage specialist for consumers with poor credit ratings, has selected GFI to increase business efficiency and security. As a leading developer of messaging software, network and content security, GFI's suite of products enables the mortgage rebroker to address numerous business needs through a single provider.
mdnationwide can now reduce time monitoring for malicious or harmful emails through the implementation of GFI MailSecurity, an email content/exploit checking and anti-virus software. The solution allows administrators to predetermine which file extensions can pass into the network, in addition to notifying administrators if harmful attachments such as .exe or .bat files try to pass the email gateway. Furthermore, GFI MailSecurity provides mdnationwide with multiple anti virus engines needed to reduce time lag between virus outbreak and signature update. Having multiple scanners at server level decreases the average response time and therefore the chance of virus infection.
mdnationwide will also implement GFI MailArchiver for Exchange which reduces the need to use PST files on the network. Each file can be accessed centrally which is much more convenient and less labour intensive for IT staff. GFI's MailArchiver allows mdnationwide to easily store and archive all of its emails and comply with the regulatory storage requirements act, Sarbanes Oxley.

In addition, GFI FAXmaker, a network integrated fax solution, will enable staff at mdnationwide to send, receive, view, print and save faxes from a PC or laptop, thereby drastically reducing the time staff normally spend faxing forms. As well as benefiting from reduced labour costs and increased productivity, businesses with GFI's FAXmaker will also benefit from a more secure form of fax communication that cannot be intercepted like traditional fax communications.
