Mayfran to Introduce New Products for Better Coolant/Chip Management at IMTS `06

Mayfran International (Cleveland, OH) will feature the expansion of its coolant recovery technologies by highlighting new developments in coolant management and filtration equipment-joining its extensive lineup of machine tool conveyors/filters and chip processing equipment at the 2006 International Manufacturing Technology Show (Booth D-4330). Themed "Take Control With Mayfran", the wide-ranging display is designed to demonstrate how to achieve optimum control and efficient management of chip and coolant conveyance, reclamation and recycling operations to minimize costs and environmental risks.

New equipment showcased will be the VacuFilter(TM) developed for applications such as grinding, honing and parts washing operations requiring fine coolant separation. Also showcased will be the Coolant Control Center (CCC) for monitoring machining coolant characteristics and mix ratios.

VacuFilter is a compact vacuum filter unit that features a vacuum pump to draw fluids through a filter media to capture the solids-a drag conveyor is used to pull and elevate the paper and sludge to a discharge area for disposal. The new free standing CCC unit is placed near a machine's coolant tank and is designed to continuously monitor oil and coolant characteristics such as concentration, PH level, conductivity, temperature and volume to required plant specifications.

Additional displays of chip processing systems will include the FastPacTM Briquetter chip compacting machine, a VBU chip wringer for drying chips and recovering residual coolant and oil plus a compact chip shredder for breaking up long chip strings and nests. Coolant filtration and handling systems will include, in addition to the VacuFilter and CCC devices, the media-free Mayfran AT-Cleaner with 10-15 micron level filtering. Products that optimize machine tool chip/coolant handling will include a ConSep 2000® combination chip conveyor/coolant cleaning unit with an AT Cleaner based high-pressure system plus illustrative and model representations of the overhead-installed Viavent® centralized system for multi-machine use.

The Mayfran International exhibit at the 2006 IMTS, Booth D-4330, will feature its expanded lineup of coolant handling and filtration technologies, including the new VacuFilter(TM) developed for applications such as grinding, honing and parts washing operations requiring fine coolant separation.
