Warm dimming BR30 and 3-way A-Lamp earn accolades in 2016 competition for advances in design and energy efficiency
WEST CALDWELL, N.J. (September 20, 2016) – MaxLite, a leading manufacturer of energy efficient lighting, was awarded Special Recognition honors for its LED Warm-on-Dim BR30 Lamp and 3-way LED Omnidirectional A-Lamp in the 2016 Lighting for Tomorrow competition.
Winners of the awards were announced through a webinar hosted by the American Lighting Association (ALA) on September 12, 2106. The competition, which recognizes new residential lighting products that are both energy efficient and exceptional, is sponsored by the American Lighting Association (ALA), the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), and Underwriters Laboratories (UL), as well as over a dozen energy efficiency and utility programs across the U.S. and Canada.

Judges recognized the MaxLite Warm-on-Dim BR30 Lamp in the Market Need category, citing it as the finest product they had seen in the warm dimming category.
Unlike standard LED lamps, which remain the same color temperature as they dim, the MaxLite BR30 lamp mimics the smooth dimming performance of incandescent and halogen bulbs by decreasing in color temperature as light output is lowered. The color of the lamp subtly shifts from 3000K to 2200K as it dims to 10 percent of full light output to create a warm, inviting glow that is perfect for dining, entertaining or relaxing. Designed for use in recessed lights, the 9-watt, ENERGY STAR certified lamp produces 650 lumens of even illumination using 86 percent less energy than the traditional 65-watt incandescent bulb it is meant to replace. The Warm-on-Dim LED BR30 Lamp features a five-year warranty and 25,000-hour rated life, providing long-lasting illumination and energy cost savings.

MaxLite’s ENERGY STAR certified 3-way Omnidirectional A-Lamp was recognized in the Value category for its lighting distribution, efficacy and accessible price point. Designed for use in standard 3-way switch lamps and fixtures, the LED lamp is a direct replacement for 40W/60W/100W incandescent bulbs that delivers three distinct levels of light (450, 800 and 1600 lumens). Available in color temperatures of 2700K and 3000K, the 5W/10W/17W lamp disperses light with a 300-degree beam angle that results in soft, even illumination to suit any task or mood. The MaxLite 3-way lamp consumes 85 percent less energy and lasts 25 times longer than its incandescent counterpart with a 25,000-hour lifetime (L70).
