MatrikonOPC Releases OPC Server for Applikon Bioreactor Controllers
Edmonton, AB – MatrikonOPC™ announced the release the OPC Server for Applikon, which provides secure, reliable connectivity to the Applikon EZControl bioreactor controller. Finesse Solutions, Inc., maker of solutions for managing complex bio-process applications in the life sciences industry, standardized its third-party data communications on MatrikonOPC technology in 2009 and now includes the new OPC Server with its TruBio® DV SCADA software overlay for Applikon EZControl bioreactor controllers.
Standardizing on MatrikonOPC helps provide Finesse Solutions' customers with ready access to critical bio-processing data from third-party devices. By overcoming common data interconnectivity obstacles, this allows end-users to integrate their automation systems into a single operator workstation with access to all visualization dashboards.
Using OPC, Finesse Solutions can rapidly and cost-effectively integrate both large and small numbers of Applikon EZContol controllers into customers’ control networks based on DeltaV® from Emerson Process Management. This also allows users to develop more sophisticated control strategies using legacy equipment in a master-slave configuration with TruBio®-SCADA software.
