New NEXYGEN(TM) MT Materials Testing Software Leads the Way
LARGO, FLORIDA--AMETEK Test & Calibration Instruments, the leading specialists in force measurement and materials testing, has launched NEXYGEN(TM) MT v4.5 -the latest version of its materials testing software. Like its predecessor, this powerful Windows® based program holds a vast library of international standard tests for a wide range of quality applications. However the primary features of this new version include powerful security and data audit tracking, video capture and playback, and extended instrument interfaces.
NEXYGENMT v4.5 is used to control the company's 'Plus', EZ, LR and LRX universal testing machine ranges and supports CHATILLON® digital force gauges. The powerful new security features, developed with medical and pharmaceutical industries in mind, will benefit all industries. A supervisor can set the desired level of access for operators, who must login at all times, and safeguards have been introduced to prevent the unauthorized use of passwords.
The software now records details of all logins and logouts, as well as when each test is created, changed, deleted, or aborted. These powerful audit trails are time stamped to provide an accurate history of data. Automatic saving and archiving ensures no data is ever lost, and report print outs now include the date, time, user ID, system ID, location ID, or other supervisor-defined parameter.
Video capture and playback are ideal for training and research. Here, users can video record live tests in action then play them back simultaneously during results analysis, making it a powerful visual aid. Other benefits include a new clear integrated HTML help system, improved test set-ups (particularly for metals tests), machine stiffness compensation on certain machines for enhanced data accuracy, and new reporting and exporting features.
For users of LabVIEW® platforms (from National Instruments), flexible materials testing control functions are now only a fingertip away with the company's newly developed interface driver fully incorporated. Interface support is also provided for the new Mitutoyo, Mettler Balance and Heidenhain gauges.
