New 125,000 LB. Material Handler at ISRI "Bridges the Gap" for Sennebogen

CHARLOTTE NC - Fulfilling a commitment that Erich Sennebogen Jr. made to customers and distributors last year, SENNEBOGEN North America has announced the introduction of a 125,000 lb. machine to its green line series of purpose-built material handling machines.

Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN North America, announced the arrival of the green line 850 M C Series machine in time for the annual convention of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries ("ISRI") which will take place in Las Vegas, April 25-29, 2004. "We were hearing both from our distributors and our customers that there was room in our product line for a wheeled machine to bridge the gap between our high end machine, 154,300 lb 870 M, and the 91,500 lb model 835 M C series that we launched at ISRI last year. We promised a new mid-range machine to the market then. And now we are delivering it."

Earlier this Spring, SENNEBOGEN also announced a smaller extension to the "lean green machines" with the 825 M weighing in at 63,300 lb.

Erich Sennebogen Jr., whose father founded the company, welcomed the newest addition to the family, noting that "...the 850 M is not just a beefed up 835 M machine or a trimmed down 870 M; this machine is designed like every other machine in our line-up, engineered for its role from the ground up."

One unique characteristic of the 850 M is its use of a Caterpillar C9 engine. "Traditionally," said Lannes, "SENNEBOGEN has built with Deutz power but many customers have requested Cat engines to match other equipment in their fleets. It was a case of listening to the customer and meeting their requests."

According to Lannes, the new 850 M material handling machine will outlift any other machine in its class, including other purpose-built machines as well as converted excavators in the 140,000 - 150,000 lbs class. "This machine will meet all the requirements of yards who are looking for heavy-duty lifting capacity in a more compact package than the 870 M provides." SENNEBOGEN will exhibit the new machine at the ISRI show. "We have no doubt visitors are going to be excited by our newest entry," said Lannes. "It has all the simplicity and performance engineering that have earned SENNEBOGEN such a strong name in American yards in a very short time. Now with the 850 sizing and capacities that customers are looking for, our product line will be that much more tailor-made for customer applications. In fact, this first machine is already sold and will go into service with John Zubick Limited, London, Ontario right after the show."

David Shea, President of Toplift Limited, the SENNEBOGEN distributor in Canada reported, "Bruce and George Zubick were looking for a wheeled machine in this class. They have always been industry leaders and this time is no different. Their 850 M C Series machine will be equipped with a combination mag-grab and after looking at the capability of this machine, they came to the conclusion that this machine would more than do the job."

SENNEBOGEN has been a leading name in the global material handling industry for more than 50 years. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, SENNEBOGEN North America offers 21 different purpose-built machines to suit virtually any heavy lift or "pick & carry" application. A growing network of distributors supports SENNEBOGEN sales and service across North America, ensuring the highest standard of professional machine support and parts availability.
