Press Release Summary:

Creform® System consists of pipes, joints, and hardware accessories that can be assembled into configurations such as custom material handling structures that are Simple, Mobile, Adjustable, Reusable, and Temporary (SMART). Components include modular pick light system, programmable control box, and several styles of Automated Guided Carts that can convert existing manual carts or trailer designs into automated material delivery units.

Original Press Release:

Creform® System is the S.M.A.R.T. Choice at NA '04

The Creform® System (a series of pipes, joints, and a broad range of hardware accessories that can be assembled into virtually limitless configurations) exhibited at the NA 2004 show, Booth 2808, by Creform Corporation, creates custom material handling structures that are simple, mobile, adjustable, reusable, and temporary...SMART. Following the SMART guidelines allows manufacturers, assemblers and warehousing concerns to operate in a lean, agile environment by supporting continuous improvement. Many design examples and uses for Creform-built structures will be exhibited including push and trailerable carts; single and multiple lane flow racks; roller conveyors; hinged shelf carts; tilting racks and tables; height adjustable work tables and workstations and portable tool cribs and storage units. Several innovative components will also be demonstrated including a modular pick light system providing error-proof part pulling/stocking and complete inventory control communication, a programmable control box for versatile AGC (Automated Guided Cart) operation, and several styles of AGC's that can convert existing manual carts or trailer designs into efficient automated material delivery units. The modular pick light system can be incorporated into new rack designs or to upgrade existing units, and is ideal for assembly applications with hard-to-differentiate components, critical or safety-related parts, and high-cost items. The Course-10 control box is upgrade technology for existing Creform AGCs, providing programming capabilities of up to 10 different guide paths for the unit to travel. For each path, up to 99 programmable commands are available, allowing for a wide variety of stops, restart timning, speed changes, and turning options. Custom AGCs can be built with load capacities up to 3 tons. Creform AGCs can be used as tuggers or as self-contained deliver units and are available with unidirectional and bi-directional drives. SMART applies to Creform components with the simplicity to design and build custom structures for specific jobs...with the mobility of lightweight and maneuverable-sized units for either manual or powered motion...with adjustable ease to fine tune size, access or other characteristics to optimize ergonomics...with reusable elements such as pipes and metal joints to provide economical material handling solutions...and with a temporary status, thanks to the system's inherent flexibility, that allows for changeovers and improvement when needed.
