TA Instruments, Inc. Introduces the SDT Q600 Simultaneous DSC/TGA Analyzer

A rugged, reliable, accurate and precise materials characterization analyzer that provides true simultaneous measurement of heat flow and weight change.

New Castle, DE, -- April 3, 2002 - TA Instruments, Inc. introduces the SDT 0600, a powerful materials characterization analyzer that simultaneously provides a true measurement - on the same sample from ambient temperature to 1,500°C - of heat flow (DSC) and weight change (TGA). The Q600 is rugged, reliable, easy to use, and provides high quality results for a broad range of materials.

The Q600 incorporates a high-sensitivity (0.1ug) dual balance mechanism, reliable bifiliar found furnace, and field-proven horizontal purge gas system with mass flow control and gas switching capability, to provide superior TGA measurements. Within the Q600, a performance-matched platinum/platinum-rhodium thermocouple embedded in each beam ensures accurate and precise transition and differential temperature measurements. Calibration with sapphire, and dynamic normalization using instantaneous sample weight provides quality DSC data.
