Samsung Selects Marvell to Power New Mass Market Smartphone



    --  Samsung Launches New Global Mass Market Galaxy J1 LTE Smartphone Powered

        by Marvell's Industry-Leading ARMADA Mobile PXA1908 Platform - Marvell's

        ARMADA Mobile PXA1908 platform and advanced Avastar® 88W8777 wireless

        connectivity solution were selected by Samsung Mobile to power select

        models of its new global LTE smartphone, the recently launched Samsung

        Galaxy J1 LTE smartphone.



Providing Support for LTE Broadcast and Advanced Wireless Technologies



    --  Marvell Advanced Avastar Connectivity Solution Supports New Social Wi-Fi

        and Indoor Location Technologies - Marvell's advanced Avastar 88W8887

        and 88W8897 System-on-Chips (SoCs), now support NAN, a Wi-Fi Alliance

        (WFA) certification also referred to as Neighbor Awareness Networking.

        The connectivity platforms also support the latest advanced indoor

        location technology from Indoo.rs.

    --  Marvell Enhances Its LTE Broadcast Capabilities for Global Operators and

        OEMs with eMBMS Technology - Marvell's award-winning ARMADA mobile

        platforms, including the PXA1802, PXA1920, PXA1928, PXA1908 and PXA1936,

        have been enhanced to support eMBMS (evolved Multimedia Broadcast and

        Multicast Service) technology, enabling smartphones, mobile hotspots and

        home gateways to play multicast video streams starting with Android L

        operating system support.
