Marrone Bio Innovations to Present Invasive Mussel Control Solution

Zequanox(TM) featured at International Conference on Aquatic Invasive Species

DAVIS, Calif., Aug. 30 - Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI) will be showcasing Zequanox,(TM) its natural solution for the control of invasive mussels, at the International Conference on Aquatic Invasive Species (ICAIS) in San Diego, California, August 29 to September 2, 2010. The conference is attended by participants from 30 countries, representing academia, industry, government agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders involved in the issues of aquatic invasive species, and seeking opportunities for cooperation and collaboration to address them.

Zequanox is an effective, safe and environmentally friendly solution for the control of invasive zebra and quagga mussels. It is based on a naturally occurring soil micro-organism and has the potential to significantly reduce the use of polluting chemicals in fresh water environments.

Carolyn Link, Field Research Scientist for Marrone Bio Innovations, will present an update on continuing trials with the Bureau of Reclamation entitled "Use of Zequanox for Adult Invasive Mussel Treatment and Settlement Prevention at Davis Dam". Ms. Link will discuss research results and upcoming work at Davis Dam, as well as provide an update on commercialization status of Zequanox.

Additional presentations on collaborative development projects with Zequanox will be given by Ontario Power Generation, ASI and SePRO Corp. These talks will cover results from a recent cooling water facility treatment in Canada, and updates on open water treatments.
