Advanced Marking Technology On Display At Eastec

SCHMIDT Marking Systems will exhibit new developed permanent marking technology at EASTEC in booth number 5001. On display will be SCHMIDT's new MicroLase laser marking system. The unit's unique compact design and innovative diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser combine to create a revolutionary new method of industrial non-contact marking. New productive additions to the MicroLase include an even faster, more accurate scan head driven by improved software.

The advanced MicroLase laser system replaces traditional laser technology - which utilizes a lamp to generate energy - with a new diode-pumped laser. This laser operates at lower temperatures, eliminating the need for external chillers. The result is a more efficient, cost-effective system that requires little maintenance. Compact and lightweight, the MicroLase requires less plant floor space, making it ideal for integrating into a variety of Class 1 configurations. The biggest advantage the MicroLase technology offers may be the 10,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation -- no laser lamps to change or reflectors to clean. Traditional laser marking systems cannot offer such longevity.

Also featured will be the SCHMIDT Stinger(TM), a new hand-held, portable stylus marking unit. Economically designed, the compact Stinger(TM) offers ideal clarity and speed of stylus marking for marking large, heavy or hard to reach parts throughout the
plant. The high speed Stinger marks deep and legible characters up to one-inch high in five standard fonts. The entire ready-to-use system includes the hand-held marker, controller, operator, interface and air regulator. It features standard controls with a 14-inch VGA monitor that allows on-screen programming and full software capabilities.
