Diversified Brands Announces Enhanced Formulation of Krylon® Industrial Quik-Mark(TM) Solvent-Based Fluorescent Orange
QUIK-MARK FAMILY PROVIDES EXCEPTIONAL ADHESION AND FADE-RESISTANCE
(Cleveland, Ohio) -Diversified Brands announces improvements to its Krylon® Industrial Quik-Mark(TM) Solvent-Based Fluorescent Orange Inverted Marking Paint. The enhanced formulation provides a color-fast, accurate mark until the mark has weathered away.
"Other fluorescent orange marking paints have been found to fade quickly," stated Patricia Redding, R&D manager at Diversified Brands. "This becomes a great inefficiency and even a danger in construction applications, as the lighter colors to which the paint fades can be mistaken for markings with altogether different meaning. Krylon's enhanced formulation for its Quik-Mark fluorescent orange provides a consistent, color-fast mark for accuracy in construction marking."
The fluorescent orange solvent-based paint is part of a comprehensive program of Krylon Industrial Quik-Mark inverted marking paints and chalks for indoor and outdoor use. Quik-Mark inverted marking paints provide a high solids formulation for bright, visible markings on concrete, pavement, gravel, grass, brick, asphalt, and athletic fields, in applications including construction, excavation, ground and surveying marking. The fast drying, high-solids formula penetrates and adheres to hot surfaces, and the patented Spray-Thru(TM) cap and non-clogging spray tip provides a smooth, constant application. All formulations are VOC and MIR compliant, and free of any lead hazards.
Quik-Mark inverted marking paints are available in 16-ounce cans with seven APWA and four fluorescent colors of water-based formulation, in 20-ounce cans with seven APWA and seven fluorescent colors of water-based formulation, and in 20-ounce cans with eight APWA, seven fluorescent and three general purpose colors of solvent-based formulation.
Quik-Mark inverted marking chalks are designed to last up to 30 days on common outdoor surfaces such as roads, pavements, gravel, soil and grass, and markings can also be removed from hard surfaces with a wire brush and water. Typical applications include construction, excavation, ground marking, communication line installation, electrical installation, utilities marking, and surveying. Featuring the patented Spray-Thru(TM) cap and non-clogging spray tip, Quik-Mark inverted marking chalks are quick and easy to apply. The VOC and MIR-compliant formulations are available in 20-ounce cans.
