Make Deep, Clean Impressions On Forgings, Frames and Torsion Bars
AutoTech 2002. Mecco Marking & Traceability has introduced a Urethane Portamark®, a light-weight high-speed marking attachment for the Ramset semi-automatic low velocity tool. The result is a fully portable, powder-actuated marking system that is practical, and cost-effective for a wide range of uses.
Difficult surfaces, as well as fully assembled product can be marked in any position, horizontal or vertical. Reinforcement fibers within the urethane provide a durable holder for use in cold marking applications free of chemical hazards. Tapered edges around the pocket allow the operator to visually locate the type characters in the proper marking window prior to making the impression.
The holder pocket accommodates 1/4" to 1/2" interchangeable type characters to create alpha-numeric identification of the product with part numbers, batch or shift codes, date codes and/or company names and logos. Style 452 characters enhance the capabilities with distinguishable characters that can be positively identified when a partial impression results.
