Mario Cotta to Offer New Line of Lower-Cost, All-Electronic Slitting and Winding Products After Acquisition of UK-Based Sigmala Technology


Cincinnati, Ohio - June 15th, 2009 - Soon after the recent acquisition of Sigmala Technology, Mario Cotta will release its new line of lower-cost, all-electronic slitting and rewinding products which will offer fully automatic alternatives to traditional pneumatic systems.

The new products will combine the innovative systems of Sigmala Technology with the expertise of the global slitting specialists at Mario Cotta (part of the international Zincometal Group.) The integrated engineering ingenuity of the two teams will combine to produce a new line of Mario Cotta products.

Mario Cotta will soon be offering their new alternative to traditional pneumatics, which will be an excellent option for customers with smaller budgets. Eng. Guido Zannini, Mario Cotta CEO and president of Zincometal Group, said, "For the first time, this technology will allow customers with a low available budget to install fully automatic systems and at a very reasonable cost."

An entirely new line of fully-automated, all-electronic slitting and winding products are planned for release in September of 2009. Servomotor controlled Knifeholders, Roll Drive Arms, Automated Transfer Units, and Powered Unwind/Rewind Stands will all be available.
