Manufacturing Software manages 3D assemblies using XML.

Press Release Summary:

Extending use of XVL data, XVL BOM Assembler allows 3D assemblies to be managed using XML structure files. Program facilitates integration with existing PLM, ERP, and other systems by allowing generation of individual part files and XML structure files for 3D assemblies. Users can write out assembly structure tree of XVL assembly in XML format, and build single XVL assembly file from XML file representing assembly structure and multiple XVL files.

Lattice Technology Launches XVL BOM Assembler

Powerful new tool for managing 3D assemblies using XML

San Francisco, CA, - Lattice Technology® Inc., the standard for technical communication and digital mock up software in the manufacturing enterprise, today announced the release of a new XVL application, the XVL BOM Assembler that extends the use of XVL data allowing 3D assemblies to managed using XML structure files.

XVL BOM Assembler can simplify the integration with existing PLM, ERP and other systems by allowing the generation of individual part files and XML structure files for 3D assemblies. The ability to generate assemblies using XML files easily enables different assemblies and configurations to be built using a single set of part files.

XVL's well-known ability to support eBOM, mBOM and sBOM's in a single file, integrated with the XVL BOM Assembler empowers Lattice Technology solutions to become a fundamental tool for most automated digital manufacturing solutions.

"Most of our customers want to integrate Lattice Technology solutions with their existing product data infrastructure," said Bill Barnes, General Manager, Lattice Technology, Inc. "this new tool will make that task even easier and allow them to include more processes and automation in their product data environment."

Highlights of XVL BOM Assembler:

Write out the assembly structure tree of an XVL assembly in XML format: By reading in single XVL file (xv2/xv3) with assembly structure, write out its assembly structure tree in XML format and export individual XVL files for each part included in the XML assembly structure file.

Build a single XVL assembly file from an XML file representing the assembly structure and multiple XVL files: By reading in a single XML file representing the assembly structure and multiple XVL files (xv0/xv2/xv3) which are linked with an XML file , export single a XVL file (xv2/xv3) having assembly structure. Also, by reading in an XML file representing the assembly structure, export single a XVL file (xv0), which is linked with multiple XVL files(xv0/xv2/xv3).

The XVL BOM Assembler is offered as a node-locked license solution. It can be installed in the server and requires the installation of a Visual C++ runtime component. It is available immediately. For more detailed information about features, pricing, or to purchase, please visit www.lattice3d.com.
