Rockwell Automation Releases Rockwell Software RSBizWare(TM) 4.0

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 25, 2002 - Rockwell Automation has introduced Rockwell Software RSBizWare(TM) 4.0, the latest version of its RSBizWare suite of solutions. Designed to improve manufacturing effectiveness, order flow management and manufacturing information visibility, RSBizWare 4.0 will support FactoryTalk for true interoperability among shop-floor solutions and information-sharing among enterprise applications.

Information Sharing. RSBizWare 4.0 will support FactoryTalk, Rockwell Automation's manufacturing information integration strategy that provides the information sharing capabilities needed to support manufacturing visibility across the enterprise and the supply chain.
All RSBizWare products will share a common terminology to describe factory operations through the FactoryTalk Factory Data Model providing users with a single, consistent touch point between ERP, SCM and related systems. Based on the ISA S95
model, the FactoryTalk Data Model also will make it easier and more cost effective for users to take a modular approach to implementing shop floor optimization systems.
Cutting-Edge Reporting. RSBizWare 4.0 is the first of the Rockwell Software product offerings to support the FactoryTalk Portal, a Web-based reporting environment that provides access to manufacturing information, tailored by the user, from any remote device that supports browser technology (PDAs, pocket computers, etc.).
