Manufacturer of the Year Award Again Presented to IQMS Customer
For the second year in a row, an IQMS customer is named Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturing Leadership Council
PASO ROBLES, CALIF. – IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships, today announced that last week, IQMS customer Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) was honored with the Manufacturer of the Year Award (small enterprise) at the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, Fla. PMT shared the stage with large enterprise winner, The Boeing Company, for implementing the most transformational projects of the competition. This is the second year in a row that an IQMS customer has taken home the top prize.
PMT received top marks by the Manufacturing Leadership Council for two business transforming projects. The first was a comprehensive continuous improvement initiative that included the implementation of the ERP and MES solution EnterpriseIQ, employee training programs, a new mold storage system and processes, inventory accuracy improvements and cost-of-quality initiatives. The second was a multi-dimensional sustainability project that when combined with the first initiative, delivered significant and ongoing savings as well as new business.
In addition to PMT, three other IQMS customers were recognized last week for their outstanding performance. In the Engineering Production Technology category, Micro Mold Co., Inc. won for its lights-out, fully-automated manufacturing workcell initiative and Protoplast, Inc. was praised for its innovative new injection transfer blow technology. Additionally, Poly-Cast Plastics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was honored in the Enterprise Technology category for its use of EnterpriseIQ's financial management modules to maintain rigorous PRC tax standards.
