Manually Selectable Valve suits injection molding processes.

Press Release Summary:

Employing glass-filled nylon end plates with internal stainless steel disc for corrosion resistance, SWAP® Shear Valve supplies cooling water to injection molds during processing or air to purge water from mold, cooling lines, and supply/return manifolds prior to tool change. Stainless steel inserts surround 1 in. NPT or 1 in. BSPP threaded water connections to provide rigidity and maintain thread geometry. Locking pin option, available for 2-hand operation, prevents accidental position change.

SMARTFLOW® SWAP® Valve for Injection Molding Processes, New Materials Now Available

The SWAP Valve is a simple, manually selectable device that supplies cooling water to the injection molds during processing or air to purge the water from the mold, cooling lines, Supply and Return manifolds prior to tool change.

The newest addition to SWAP Valve offering employs glass-filled nylon end plates with internal stainless steel disc. The new materials were developed to provide dimensional stability and improved corrosion resistance. Stainless Steel inserts surround the 1”NPT or 1”BSPP threaded water connections to provide rigidity and maintain thread geometry. Stainless steel mounting plates are integrated into the molded valve plates. Locking pin option is available for two-hand operation, preventing accidental valve position change. The new molded body valve provides 20% cost savings compared to existing material options of PTFE impregnated anodized aluminum and brass/stainless steel combination.
