Niles, IL - A rugged and compact manual polarimeter designed for routine uses in chemical, pharmaceutical, sugar, and educational laboratories is available from PolyScience. Excellent for quality control, teaching, and general polarimetry measurements, the SR-6 Polarimeter is simple to use, easy-to-view, and accurate to 0.1° of rotation. The SR-6 is available with either a full circle (0° to 180° right and left) or half circle (0° to 90° right and left) scale.
The SR-6 comes equipped with a halogen light source, magnifying lens, 200 mm measuring tube, and transformer for either 120 VAC, 60 Hz. or 220 VAC, 50 Hz. operation. Measuring tubes for specific tests are also available. All measurement tubes have an expanded bore at one end to minimize interference from air bubbles.
