MS/RV - Mobile Storage And Retrieval Vehicle

The Webb-Triax MS/RV, a man-on-board storage and retrieval vehicle, combines the high-density storage capabilities of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System with the flexibility and economy of turret-type fork trucks. A wide variety of load handling devices offered includes forks and dual stage shuttles.

The MS/RV provides greater space efficiency and maximum flexibility operating in narrow aisles, storing and retrieving loads over 60 feet high. Increased stability of heavy loads at maximum height is an important feature of the MS/RV. While in the aisle, guide rollers at the base of the vehicle engage simple channel-type track in the floor, and the guide wheels at the top of the mast engage a powered overhead guide tube. This helps to ensure the stability as well as the absolute alignment of the vehicle in the aisle. Outside of the aisle, the operators can quickly drive the MS/RV from one storage aisle to another, giving them the ability to service multiple aisles.

Because of its unique power system, the MS/RV can provide continuous operation. During in-aisle operation, the vehicle is powered by overhead conductor bars and by on-board batteries outside the aisle.

The MS/RV is a quick response order-picking vehicle that operates efficiently within standard post and beam racks. This unique hybrid lift truck may offer the lowest cost alternative of any warehousing system on the market today.

MS/RV is a trademark of the Webb-Triax Company, a subsidiary of the Jervis B. Webb Company.
