Manitou Wins 2014 LLEAP Award in Material Handling from Lift and Access Magazine with the MRT Series Privilege Plus Rotating Telescopic Handlers

Manitou’s MRT Series Privilege Plus Rotating Telescopic Handlers received a 2014 “Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Access Platforms” award, known as the LLEAP award, in the category of material handling from Lift and Access magazine.

The MRT Series Privilege Plus features impressive lift heights up to 80 feet 8.5 inches, 360 degree rotation with optimal visibility, increased safety additions, and powerful diesel engines. The spacious, ergonomic cab is equipped with two electro-hydraulic joysticks that control boom extension, upper structure rotation, accessories, load lifting, and fork tilting. Armrests, steering wheel, and seat are fully adjustable with an optional incline seat, reclining up to 13 degrees for operator comfort as the boom rises.

The MRT Series machines provide “triple performance” with telehandler, winch, and platform work modes, reducing the need for multiple machines on the jobsite. The MRT Series are also known for their many safety enhancements such as; adjustable stabilizers, the restricted working feature that can limit certain lift heights and distances of operation in congested areas, and the unique E-RECO - Automatic Attachment Recognition System - which automatically senses installed attachments and assigns the correct load chart as well as the appropriate safe operation zones.

When referring to the MRT Series Privilege Plus machines the award judges said, “Great multi-application machine with features that eliminate operator guesswork.” As well as, “The automatic attachment recognition, three-mode versatility, and the ability to work below grade are outstanding features.”
