Manifolds offer fully automatic operation.

Press Release Summary:

VM 1000 Series is designed for use with liquid cylinders, while VM 2000 Series is used with high-pressure cylinders. Both give uninterrupted supply of gas as primary bank of cylinders is depleted. At preset pressure, switchover unit automatically switches to reserve bank. VM manifolds operate on 115 Vac power, but will continue to function during power failure. They meet or exceed NFPA system and flow requirements, as well as CGA and UL.

Victor(R) Introduces "Operator Friendly" VM Series Automatic Manifolds

St. Louis - May 15, 2002 - Victor® VM Series fully automatic manifolds eliminate the need for operators to change switches or pressure upon cylinder depletion.

VM 1000 Series manifolds are designed for use with liquid cylinders while VM 2000 Series manifolds are used with high-pressure cylinders. Both series give an uninterrupted supply of gas as the primary bank of cylinders is depleted. At a preset pressure, the manifold's patent pending switchover unit automatically switches to the reserve bank.

"One of the main design goals was to keep it standardized and simple so that virtually everyone will be able to fully understand the functionality of these manifolds," says Bob Boyer, Victor Equipment Company senior engineer. The design of the unit is based on a modular, standardized concept. A small
size of 14" tall by 12.8" wide allows the manifold to fit in most locations and mount on a lightweight frame. This also reduces the opportunity for shipping damages, while increasing flexibility and ease of system setup. The standardized design decreases the need for a large inventory of repair parts.

All VM manifolds operate on 115 VAC power, but will continue to function in the event of a power failure. (Electricity is only required to power the indicator lights and alarm.) All VM manifolds also include an illustrated operations manual featuring instructions and a complete troubleshooting section.

Optional features include visual and audio/visual remote alarms, and 500W or 1000W heaters. A complete line of system accessories is available.

The VM Series manifolds meet or exceed all industry requirements including NFPA system and flow requirements, as well as CGA and UL. The complete system has a two-year warranty from Victor, with a five-year warranty for the switchover mechanism.
