Safe Systems Launches NetGUARD(TM) Managed Service Offering

Network Integration Company Announces Proactive Monitoring and Preventive Maintenance Solution

ATLANTA--Safe Systems, Inc., one of the fastest growing network integration companies in the nation exclusively serving community financial institutions, announced the January launch of its managed service offering called NetGUARD(TM).

NetGUARD(TM) gives financial institutions a truly proactive toolset to help both Safe Systems and its customers co-manage networks by keeping a constant eye on selected devices and sending alerts when a problem is first indicated, in many cases before the customer is aware of it. Along with this early warning system, Safe Systems' team of certified engineers and technicians deliver the highest level of IT support to its clients.

Constant monitoring of critical areas and keeping a network healthy allows for the best utilization of important business assets while helping to prevent catastrophic events. According to company president and CEO, Danny Johnston, "Many network failures give telltale signs of problems long before they occur. NetGUARD(TM) is an example of how we strive to make our customers' systems work optimally by minimizing system downtime." Johnston adds, "I expect this aspect of our enterprise-wide management to grow rapidly in the next few years as financial institutions recognize that performance management of critical devices is as important as security protection of those devices."

In addition to Safe Systems' support center monitoring various devices, including servers, routers, and switches, NetGUARD(TM) provides clients with an integrated real-time "dashboard view" of their devices via Safe Systems' "Customer Vault" and easily readable, graphics-rich reports that are provided to key technology personnel. These reports provide detailed information and classify the severity of recorded events.

Scott Galvin, vice-president of support services at Safe Systems, comments, "We have seen a strong response to NetGUARD(TM) since we launched it last month. NetGUARD(TM) is a valuable tool that has a lot to offer -- it can lower the cost of your network, reduce service outages, improve troubleshooting, and even provide quantifiable information for auditors and an institution's Technology Committee on how a network is performing."

Chad Ingersoll, system engineer for Safe Systems, cites real-life examples of how NetGUARD(TM) acts as "an extra set of eyes and ears for an institution's internal IT staff" and helps alert them to situations that need attention, thereby avoiding costly downtime. Ingersoll says, "NetGUARD(TM) alerted one bank that their hard drive space on their main server had dropped below 5%. Had this event gone undetected, it is likely that the server would have crashed and all bank applications running would have become unavailable." Ingersoll adds, "Another NetGUARD(TM) customer received an alert that made us suspect an overnight power outage at their main office. Due to the alert, the customer was able to send out the appropriate personnel early the next morning to boot up all the servers before regular employees arrived for the start of the next business day, thereby avoiding costly business delays."
