Warrington, PA -Polysciences, Inc. has introduced ProMag(TM), the newest addition to the line of magnetic microspheres. The new ProMag(TM)magnetic microspheres are polymer based, highly uniform beads. Their surface chemistry and surfactant-free preparation offer easy attachment of ligands for many applications in the life sciences. In addition, their rapid separation rates make them ideal for automated assay systems or benchtop use.

"Balancing pulling speed, size uniformity and settling rates is challenging when developing magnetic beads," according to Chad Owen, Vice President of Polysciences, Inc. - Particles Division.
