Magnetek to Exhibit Latest Elevator Drives at Interlift 2015

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - Magnetek, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of elevator drives, will be exhibiting its latest elevator drives, the Quattro® AC Cube and HPV® 900 AF, at stand 5166 in Hall 5 at Interlift 2015, being held in Messe Augsburg, Germany, October 13-16. Magnetek will showcase their elevator modernization solutions, with a focus on energy savings.

“Magnetek’s drive technology delivers improved elevator performance and extends the useful lives of elevators at a fraction of the cost of motor drive system replacements,” said Ed Butte, director of Magnetek’s elevator business. “When you utilize Magnetek drives, our technology is able to capture energy and return it to the building power grid for use in other key facility processes, providing energy and cost savings every time an elevator runs.”

The Quattro AC Cube and HPV 900 AF drives will be on display at the Company’s stand. The Quattro AC Cube clean power drive is designed to meet today’s growing need for green building solutions. This innovative drive comes in an evolutionary new compact design that takes up less than one-third of the space of the standard Quattro AC drive and includes integrated regeneration, near unity power factor, and less than eight percent total harmonic current distortion.

Designed with modernization in mind, the HPV 900 AF drive uses patented technology to meet today’s machine room-less (MRL) axial flux disc type motors. Its permanent magnet synchronous axial flux control capability provides plug-and-play installation and delivers optimal performance. Easy setup is made possible by the integrated digital operator, similar to other Magnetek elevator drives.

Also on display, Magnetek’s Energy Savings Calculator generates a quantitative comparison of energy use of an existing installation versus the same installation with modernized drives to determine potential energy savings. Recognizing the increasing demand to provide a means of operating an elevator in power loss situations, Magnetek will also be introducing a new Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) range, which complements their drives. Selection is easy using the new UPS Sizing Calculator. The range of UPS solutions can be interfaced to any control system and can be configured to provide status alerts via physical outputs, a serial interface, or via SMS messages.
