MagneMotion Exhibiting at Passenger Terminal Expo
Acton, Mass. - February 21, 2007 - MagneMotion, a developer and manufacturer of assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions using electro-magnetic technology, today announced that it will be exhibiting its Linear Synchronous Motor solutions for both Airport Baggage Handling and Automated People Movers at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2007 from March 27-29, 2007 at Fira de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
MagneMotion will feature its MagneMover(TM) DB 1.0, a new modular track and vehicle solution designed to compliment its QuickStick® Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) technology. With built-in position sensing technology, the new system is capable of transporting nominal and oversized airport baggage loads at speeds up to 10 meters per second while providing precise tracking of all bags. Switching, position sensing and motion control are handled electro-magnetically through user-friendly software, greatly reducing mechanical dependencies and the need for third-party systems.
MagneMotion will be available to discuss its transportation initiatives, which take advantage of its LSM propulsion and control, as well as its patented Maglev technology. Beneficial to baggage handling and transportation systems, the technology can be configured as bus-sized Automated People Movers or Personal Rapid Transit systems.
A premier international event for the airport industry, the Passenger Terminal Expo will cover a variety of current and future key issues affecting the design, development and operation of passenger terminals.
